Refund and Cancellation Policy

Group Workshops

Unless otherwise stated or agreed to after the fact, when an individual or individuals need to cancel or do not show up to an event they have purchased tickets for due to unforeseen circumstances, the "FRAGRANCE OF SOUND" ®  will offer a certificate that will be good for the value of the tickets purchased to be used at another event.  Full refunds will not generally be given due to the fact that Paypal issues a full refund to the purchaser but charges fees to the workshop facilitator for refunding payments. Please do not contact Pay Pal about this , rather contact FOS so we can issue the "rain check" certificate.  If the venue that FOS is working at is not in compliance with this Policy and you are concerned about the policy, please feel free to call the venue before purchasing tickets to clarify their policy as they may have a different policy that we can not overwrite.  If the venue insists on no refunds, then FRAGRANCE OF SOUND will try our best to get you into another venue or the same venue gratis at a later date if the venue will allow it.

Online Events

Unless otherwise stated or agreed to after the fact, when an individual or individuals need to cancel or do not show up to an online event they have purchased tickets for directly from FRAGRANCE OF SOUND due to unforeseen circumstances, the "FRAGRANCE OF SOUND" ®  will offer a certificate that will be good for the value of the tickets purchased to be used at another event.  Full refunds will not generally be given due to the fact that Paypal issues a full refund to the purchaser but charges fees to the workshop facilitator for refunding payments. Please do not contact Pay Pal about this , rather contact FOS so we can issue the "rain check" certificate. 

 

If "FRAGRANCE OF SOUND" is offering a concert through a web platform, that you buy tickets from, the buyer will be subject to the Concert Platform's Policy.  If the Concert is Postponed or Canceled due to Unforeseen Technical Considerations where the internet is down and it is beyond the control of FRAGRANCE OF SOUND or the Web-streaming Platform, FOS will play a later concert that you will have access to either live or to watch at a later date if you can not attend that specific new Concert Date, or some other arrangement will be made on your behalf.  Please contact the Web-streaming Platform first and then Fragrance of Sound so we may handle the matter if you have not received some sort of email about it within ten days.  Web concerts that are offered at a later date as a substitute event may be posted for a specific amount of time as a replay, and it would be the responsibility of the the ticket purchaser to watch the concert within a reasonable time period (7 days) or stated specified time limit unless otherwise addressed by the web platform policy.

Private Sessions in our Studio or Rented Studio

If the client books a private session and pays in advance, and has an emergency, Fragrance of Sound will allow the client to re-book the session without penalty if the FRAGRANCE OF SOUND didn't turn down another booking to do your booking or didn't set up equipment for your booking already.  Please give the FRAGRANCE OF SOUND 48 hours notice when canceling a booking as we commonly set up equipment for the booking a day or two in advance.  If you cancel and Equipment has been already set up, a 65.00 fee, (plus any studio rental fee if a studio is rented on your behalf) will be charged unless the client is re-booking a few days from then and it does not cause the studio that the private is booked in any inconvenience if we leave the set up intact. If the equipment can not be left in the venue or intact, then 65.00 will need to be charged as FOS will need to remove the equipment and re-set it up again.  If the client has not paid in advance with the above scenario, then the client will be billed 65.00 (plus any rental fees for a studio that we had to rent on your behalf) that will be due upon receipt of the bill. The client will always know in advance if we need to rent a studio on your behalf.  Usually we use our studio so it is rare that we will need to rent a studio on your behalf.

If FOS is unable to book another event that is offered to us due to your booking, and the booking is date specific, if you cancel your booking, a penalty of 1/2 of the other client's booking price, or your full booking charge (whatever is greater) will be due. Example:  You book an appointment.  Fragrance of Sound gets a call to book another appointment  or event on that day that can only be done that day for some reason, like a wedding for instance.   "FRAGRANCE OF SOUND"  will let you know if someone else wants to book your date, to give you advanced notice that a penalty of 1/2 of the other booking, or full price of your booking will be charged, (whatever is greater) if you cancel your appointment.

Just to let you know.......often there is no problem in canceling and re-booking for a later date if the date is a few days or so from the original date. And usually people do not often book date specific appointments.

Corporate or Private Party Event Bookings or Bookings through our Agency

If the client books a corporate or private party event and pays in advance, and incurs an emergency and needs to cancel for any reason, Fragrance of Sound will allow the client to re-book the session without penalty if the FRAGRANCE OF SOUND has not turned down another booking to accommodate your booking or has not set up equipment for your booking already.  Please give the FRAGRANCE OF SOUND 48 hours notice when canceling a booking.  If you cancel and Equipment has been already set up at your venue, a 350.00 fee will be charged to remove the set up upon cancellation unless the client is re-booking within a few days from then and it does not cause the venue that the event is booked at any inconvenience if we leave the set up intact. This is contingent on the FRAGRANCE OF SOUND not having another booking between your new date and your original date.  If the equipment can not be left in the venue for any reason (because it does not work for the venue or FRAGRANCE OF SOUND has another booking), then $350.00 charge will be assessed as an equipment removal / set up fee.  If the client has not paid in advance with the above scenario, then the client will be billed an equipment removal / set up fee of $350.00 that will be due upon receipt of the bill, net 10 days from the date of removal.  If FOS or Mari Fix is under contractual agreement with a venue or client and different cancellation charges and amounts have been outlined, the terms of the contract supersede these terms.  If specific terms for any reason are not mentioned in the agreement, then these terms apply.

If FOS is unable to book another event that is offered to us due to your booking, and the booking is date specific, if you cancel your booking, a penalty of 1/2 of the other client's booking price, or your full booking charge (whatever is greater) will be due. Example:  You book with us.  Fragrance of Sound gets a call to book another appointment or event on the same day that you booked, and the other date can not be rescheduled by the other client as it is date specific for some reason, like a wedding for instance, so we need to turn down the job offering.  The "FRAGRANCE OF SOUND"  will let you know if someone else wants to book your date, to give you advanced notice that a penalty of 1/2 of the other booking, or full price of your booking will be charged, (whatever is greater) if you cancel your event date with us.  If FOS has secured musicians or vendors that turned down a job that was offered after your booking was made, charges according to the terms above will apply.

If you book through our Agency, all policies of the Agency will apply and the deposit to book the event will be forfeited upon cancellation.  If your event is booked directly thought "FRAGRANCE OF SOUND" and we collect a deposit for the event, the deposit will be forfeited upon cancellation and additional charges may incur according the the above aforementioned paragraph.

If your organization or a party cancels an event and no deposit has been retained, and no work has been done in preparation for the event, and more than 48 hours notice has been given, all cancellation fees will be waived unless FOS turns down another date specific job because it has already secured your booking.

Equipment Purchase or Rental

​

If Equipment is Purchased or Rented on your behalf, the company or Private Party will be responsible to pay the Equipment Rental Fees or will be subject to the Rental Companies Charges.  If FOS buys Equipment for your Event and it is oked by the company in advance, the Company is subject to reimburse FOS for the purchase price and postage or acquisition fees (gas, time, charges) for whatever has been acquired.  The company may feel free to pick up the purchase from the FRAGRANCE OF SOUND at our office location after the fact if the company or client is so inclined.

Unforeseen Emergencies

​

If FRAGRANCE OF SOUND has an unforeseen emergency and can not fulfill our contractual agreement for any reason, FOS will honor the event by rescheduling the event to a later date or will refund the deposit or fees paid to them if no work is rendered towards the event.  If FOS can not be present at the event and the event can not be rescheduled, FOS will attempt to find a comparable replacement in their stead if that is appropriate.

Events Attendance Policy  

 

Policies when attending a Therapeutic Event, Private Session or Instructional / Therapeutic Workshop

Fragrance of Sound Workshops, Therapeutic Events, "Doctorings," Instructional Events or Offerings or Private Sessions are no substitute for medical or psychological help or "professional help."  Please consult with your doctor on all medical, healing or psychological issues.  If expert advice or counseling is needed, services from a competent licensed professional in your jurisdiction should be sought.  The contents or offerings in "FRAGRANCE OF SOUND" websites or events are solely the opinion of the author or presenter(s) and should not be considered as a form of therapy, advice, directions, diagnosis or treatment of any kind: medical, spiritual, mental or other.

Policies - signing wavers

We reserve the right to deny service to anyone for any reason.

We require you to sign a waver to participate in all workshops or trainings.

We now require you to sign a waver to participate in a private session.

Events will have a posted sign stating our policies, and if you don't see one, please ask to see it.
